A country that was never really on my radar, but having driven through it, that’s all changed. It’s got huge mountains: the Tian Shan and Altai. It’s got the Caspian and Aral sea, it’s got steppes, deserts, canyons, bizarre rock formations, and not to mention the underground rock mosques.
